• Swap activity: listings, proposals, chat messages, reviews and photos you upload.
• Technical data: device type, browser, IP address and basic usage information for security and analytics.

• Match you with relevant swaps near you, based on your city and suburb.
• Let you and other members communicate about a swap.
• Keep the community safe — handle reports, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms.
• Provide, maintain and improve the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Your public profile information, listings and reviews are visible to other MateSwaps users. We share data with trusted service providers (such as cloud hosting, authentication and translation providers) that help operate the Service under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Your Rights and Deleting Your Account

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal information at any time. To delete your account, open Me → Account Settings → Delete account in the app, or email us at the address below and we will action the request. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings and messages, except where we must keep limited records for legal or safety reasons (for example, records of accounts removed for serious breaches).

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

MateSwaps is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International Users

MateSwaps operates globally. By using the Service you consent to your information being processed in countries other than your own.
